As a Summer 2027 Audit Intern at CBIZ, I will be immersed in a dynamic and challenging environment that will allow me to apply and expand my accounting knowledge while developing practical skills essential for a successful career in public accounting. CBIZ is a leading professional services firm that provides tax, advisory, and business consulting services to clients across a wide range of industries, giving me exposure to diverse business challenges and accounting practices.
Throughout my internship, I will work alongside experienced auditors and accounting professionals on real client engagements, participating in the entire audit process from planning to completion. This includes assisting with risk assessment procedures, understanding client business environments, and evaluating internal controls. I will contribute to substantive testing procedures, which involve examining financial statements, verifying account balances, and testing transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
One of the key aspects of my role will be assisting with the preparation of audit workpapers and documentation. This requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of audit methodologies and standards, including Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). I will learn how to properly document audit procedures performed, evidence gathered, and conclusions reached—all critical skills for any aspiring auditor.

Academic Research Presentation
This presentation explores how La Colombe can scale successfully while maintaining authenticity, values, and mission. Rather than treating growth and authenticity as competing goals, the research demonstrates that long-term growth is strongest when supported by transparent values and visible follow-through.
